Re-Enable Task Manager in XP

If your taskmanger has been disabled due to some virus attack - here’s a simple trick to re-enable your taskmanager.

1) Goto to “Start -> Run…”

2) Type gpedit.msc and hit enter.
Open Run...
This will open the “Group Policy Object Editor” Window which stores the Computer and Current User Settings.

3) On the left part you would see a tree navigation.
Navigate to “Local Computer Policy -> User Configuration ->Admisitrative Templates -> System -> Ctrl+Alt+Del Options”

4) Under “Ctrl+Alt+Del Options” double click “Remove Task Manager”.

Then click on the “disabled” radio button. Now click “Ok” to finish.

5) We’r now done. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to see your task manager back in action.
